Trusted Specialty Rug Cleaning and Restoration Specialists in Morrisville, NY

Specialty Rug Care by Rugcraft is a dedicated Oriental and antique rug care studio providing professional cleaning, washing, and restoration for the full range of specialty rug types for over a decade in Morrisville, NY and throughout the New York metropolitan area.

Hand-knotted textile art are fundamentally different from standard carpet and machine-made rugs — they are among the most valuable portable objects many homeowners own, both in terms of market value and personal significance. Cleaning these rugs incorrectly risks permanent harm: irreversible color changes, structural damage to the foundation, and loss of pile integrity are documented outcomes when the unique construction of these pieces is not understood or respected by the cleaning method applied.

Their trained rug care technicians are trained in the specific washing, drying, and finishing techniques appropriate for each weave type, pile fiber, and dye chemistry. Every piece is processed as the individual piece it is — not processed through a generic cleaning program.

Their service area covers across all five boroughs and the broader metro region and operates a full-service pick-up and delivery program for collectors and homeowners who want a completely hands-off experience from start to finish. Their comprehensive cleaning program involves documentation at intake, expert hand-washing with fiber-matched solutions, carefully controlled drying, and a final inspection before return to the client.

Their restoration services include fringe repair, rug patching, foundation stabilization, and restoration services for antique or damaged rugs that require more than cleaning alone. Their clients include interior designers, estate managers, and private collectors in addition to individual homeowners.

Their founder and lead specialist Farid provides the cultural knowledge and technical depth that only three generations of family involvement in Persian rug work can produce — giving every rug that enters Rugcraft the benefit of interpretive expertise that no training course can replicate.
