Moss accumulation on shingles and tiles is one of the most damaging yet commonly overlooked problems a homeowner can face. In moisture-rich climates, including the Lakeside, OR area, moss grows aggressively year-round — and without professional treatment, it shortens the roof's lifespan that accelerates aging and creates leak risk.
Mossaway Roof Moss Removal is a specialized exterior cleaning company working only on moss and lichen removal and prevention for homeowners and property managers across the United States. We bring the biological expertise, technique, and prevention tools that actually solve the moss problem.
What Moss Does to a Roof Over Time
Moss accumulation traps water against the surface below, breaks down granules on asphalt shingles, gets under tile edges, and creates conditions that lead to rot, leaks, and premature roof failure.
For Lakeside, OR homeowners noticing any green or dark growth on their roof, early professional treatment is the right response — before the moss colonizes more surface area.
The Mossaway Removal Process
Our removal method uses soft wash technique paired with biological moss-killing chemistry rather than power washing, which causes surface damage and is inappropriate for most roofing materials. Following the cleaning process, we install zinc or copper prevention strips at the roof ridge — creating a mineral environment hostile to biological growth that inhibits moss regrowth for years after installation.
All Roof Types Treated
Our team handles every roofing material — always matching treatment approach to the specific surface. Clients in Lakeside, OR with cedar shake or tile roofs, this targeted method protects the roofing material throughout the process.
Our technicians use appropriate fall protection equipment for every residential and commercial roof and work is performed with full attention to landscaping and drainage below protecting everything on the ground.
The Mossaway Service Guarantee
