Certified Roof Moss Removal Services in Tualatin, OR

Moss on a roof causes more long-term structural damage and underestimated issues a property can develop. In wet climates like Tualatin, OR and much of the Pacific Northwest, organic growth on roofing surfaces is persistent and fast-moving — and without professional treatment, it shortens the roof's lifespan that leads to premature roof failure.

Our team at Mossaway is a specialized exterior cleaning company moss removal, lichen treatment, and long-term biological prevention for properties throughout the country. Our team delivers the treatment knowledge and prevention systems that address the problem at its source.

What Moss Does to a Roof Over Time

Moss growing on shingles or tiles traps water against the surface below, degrades protective granule coating, gets under tile edges, and establishes conditions for rot, water infiltration, and structural damage.

Homeowners in the Tualatin, OR region noticing any green or dark growth on their roof, the smart move is professional treatment — before the moss colonizes more surface area.

Low-Pressure Biological Treatment for Tualatin, OR Roofs

We apply low-pressure treatment alongside organism-specific treatment solutions rather than high-pressure washing, which causes surface damage and risks cracking tile or dislodging slate. Once the moss is treated and removed, our team places zinc or copper ridge strips at the roof ridge — creating a mineral environment hostile to biological growth slowing moss recolonization significantly for years after installation.

All Roof Types Treated

Our team handles every roofing material — with methods matched to each material's tolerance. Properties throughout Tualatin, OR with cedar shake or tile roofs, this targeted method protects the roofing material throughout the process.

Mossaway's crew are trained in roof safety protocols for steep roof access and every property is handled carefully to avoid damage to landscaping and drainage systems.

The Mossaway Service Guarantee

Our work is backed for a full year — if moss returns within 12 months, we come back at no cost. Strip installations carry a five-year effectiveness warranty. Our coverage is comprehensive including roof access and environmental liability coverage.
