Best Wallpaper Stripping Specialists in Emory, VA

Wallpaper removal is far more technically demanding than most homeowners expect a homeowner can face. Doing it wrong — over-wetting the wall, using incompatible chemicals, or forcing the paper — strips the paper layer from drywall — damages plaster walls — leaving walls in worse shape than if the wallpaper had never been touched. Stripex Wallpaper Removal delivers six years of specialist knowledge in safe, substrate-appropriate wallpaper removal.

Stripex's technicians assess the surface before any removal begins — identifying plaster, painted or unpainted drywall, and skim-coated surfaces — and then applying the appropriate removal method and moisture level for that specific surface. Beginning with surface identification avoids the damage that generic removal methods cause. Steam equipment — enzymatic stripping solutions — and precise tool technique remove paper cleanly layer by layer without tearing the substrate beneath.

Once all paper and backing are off, the entire surface is treated to remove adhesive and the team reviews the wall for any issues prior to leaving the property. Stripex also offers post-removal skim coating and wall prep services that prep the wall completely for paint, new wallpaper, or any other finish. Residents of Emory, VA who want to paint or re-paper after stripping, having removal and prep done by the same team saves time, avoids contractor handoff problems and ensures the wall is truly ready.
