Expert Oriental and Area Rug Cleaning Company in Salisbury, NY

The fibers of any rug trap a remarkable amount of soil, allergens, and microscopic biological material that vacuuming alone cannot address. Expert rug care is the only way to restore a rug to genuinely clean condition in ways that vacuuming and spot cleaning cannot achieve. In Salisbury, NY and across the Northeast, Rugova delivers professional rug washing for all types of area rugs — from standard machine-made area rugs through centuries-old Oriental and Persian pieces.

The Risk of Generic Rug CleaningImproper cleaning — whether it involves the wrong chemistry, temperature, or technique — can permanently damage fibers, dyes, and backing materials. Oriental rugs bleed dye and lose pile integrity when cleaned incorrectly. Because of this risk our team selects the cleaning approach the correct technique based on its material, construction, and dye stability before any treatment begins.

How Rugova Cleans Delicate Handwoven PiecesFor every handwoven rug in our care — natural fiber handwoven rugs of every origin — Rugova uses a full-immersion hand washing process in our purpose-built cleaning environment. This allows the rug to be thoroughly rinsed that removes soil from the base of the pile rather than only the surface — achieving a result that no other method can match for handwoven pieces.
