Leading Backyard Patio and Outdoor Living Services in Southern Pines, NC

Most backyards in Southern Pines, NC are significantly underutilized — an outdoor area that sits largely unused while the household spends time and money on interior renovations. Our team at Yardvex Design Group specializes in turning underutilized outdoor spaces into personalized outdoor destinations.

The Yardvex process begins where every quality outdoor project should — with a detailed design consultation where our outdoor living specialists sit down with each client to understand how they envision using their space. Whether the vision is an expansive entertaining patio with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen our team translates that vision into a detailed plan that works with the specific conditions of your property. This design-before-construction discipline is what separates a Yardvex project from a contractor who shows up, pours a slab, and calls it done.

Our in-house construction team handles every phase of the project without subcontracting critical work including patio installation in concrete, pavers, and natural stone, pergola and shade structure framing, retaining wall construction, fire pit and seating area builds, and complete softscape planting and mulching. The single-contractor approach eliminates the scheduling gaps and accountability gaps that come with using multiple separate contractors. The backyard projects Yardvex delivers are spaces that clients are genuinely proud to show off and enjoy every day of the year.

Our founder, Jerome Calloway, established Yardvex a landscape architect and outdoor construction specialist with over a decade of experience designing residential and commercial outdoor spaces. He identified a problem that homeowners faced repeatedly — homeowners who wanted thoughtful, cohesive backyard transformations could only find contractors who either designed without building or built without designing. Jerome assembled a team that handles design and construction as a single integrated service. His direct involvement in every project ensures that the design intent is faithfully realized in the finished outdoor environment.
