Expert Attic Insulation Contractors in Goshen, OH

If you have noticed that your home struggles to stay warm in winter or cool in summer even with a modern heating and cooling system in place. For families in Goshen, OH, the culprit is frequently the attic — a space that is responsible for more heat loss and gain than any other single component of the building envelope. The specialists at Thervex Insulation Co delivers professional insulation installation and upgrades with the depth of knowledge that only a specialist can provide.

Attic insulation is not a one-size-fits-all solution, which is why Thervex begins every project with a comprehensive attic evaluation. We evaluate every relevant factor to bring your home up to current energy efficiency standards before recommending any specific solution. This commitment to understanding the space first ensures every dollar spent on insulation produces the maximum possible improvement in comfort and efficiency.

After completing the attic evaluation, we identify the solution that will deliver the greatest performance improvement for your particular structure. For attics with irregular joist spacing and existing obstructions, blown-in material provides the most complete coverage. Where air infiltration is the dominant problem, spray foam delivers both insulation value and a complete air seal in one application. Batt insulation remains the right choice for straightforward open joist bays that are easily accessible. Residents of Goshen, OH who schedule an assessment regularly report noticeable improvements in comfort and lower utility bills after their first winter or summer.

Air sealing is performed before insulation on every Thervex project because it is foundational to achieving maximum thermal performance. Every gap, crack, and bypass in the attic floor can negate much of the benefit of new insulation if not addressed first. Our technicians seal these bypasses completely before any insulation material is placed so that the thermal envelope of your home is as complete as possible from the very first day after installation. The pairing of quality air sealing with correctly installed insulation is what produces the dramatic energy savings that Goshen, OH homeowners experience after a Thervex project.

Thervex Insulation Co was founded by Preston Galvez a credentialed professional who spent years conducting energy audits for a utility-sponsored weatherization program. His work in weatherization showed him exactly how much heat and money improperly insulated attics cost homeowners every year. After years of recommending insulation upgrades and watching homeowners struggle to find qualified contractors, Preston founded Thervex to fill that gap. He holds Building Performance Institute certifications and personally mentors each new technician on proper installation techniques and air sealing best practices.
